inner art should be the cover

... not sure about this one, the first time I watched this I remember it being fairly boring up until the end, maybe I will have to watch it again before I decide

Now this, IMHO, is a brilliantly made film. Pacing, framing, acting, timing - the whole picture is divine.

Day 1 for me on an already impressive UK release. It's the steelbook tart in me that says Buy! Buy! Buy!

Are you referring to the director's cut?
I've only seen the theatrical version.

Edit. Wow. So there's four versions. The original theatrical cut, Anchor Bay's theatrical cut, Anchor Bay's director's cut, and a director's preferred version. I saw it on Netflix. I assume it was the original theatrical cut.

Its Michael Mann, any time a film of his gets re-issued, he tinkers with it.Thee isnt a real director's cut out there, there is a threatical cut and all the re issues that Mr Mann desides he needs to add or subtract things from, he is a very insecure director.

The cover is perfect, IMO.

The movie's awesome too. Totally 80s with an amazing soundtrack and photography. Much better than Red Dragon.

Nice steelbook for a great film! Any idea of a general timeframe of when this will be up for preorder?

Red Dragon is such a poor film. Just made so they could fit Hopkins' Lecter into the timeline.

Brian Cox's performance is perfect. Just the way he stares at Will Graham when he goes to visit Hannibal in his cell would give me the frights.

Also, that's such an obvious image to go for Zavvi: they've just used the cover of the 2 disc Momentum dvd.

Depending on price I may just get this, however. And if a definitive version comes along I'll just do the old switcheroo!
