BD-P1400 is official out - Blu-ray Forum

I just visited my local neighborhood Best Buy this afternoon and saw the BD-P1400 on display showing some Blu-ray demo. It's selling for $499.99. It looks pretty good, but nothing spectacular. It has that glossy piano black finish like the last one, which should match the look of most of their new lcd tvs quite well. Picture does not look any different from any other players and I couldn't really test its sound as it was not hooked up to a surround sound system. Hopefully by Christmas this player will sell for about $350.

Oh, and one more thing. I don't know if it was just this unit, but when I moved it around, it felt extremely light. As light as all those thin upconverting dvd players that are out there.

It doesnt have the HQV realta video scaler in it. Thats gonna be in the 2400 model. Rest should be the same though as the 1200

I believe all Samsung Blu-ray players have ethernet ports.

Yes all current Samsungs have Ethernet ports accept for the first generation model BD-P1000 was the only model that did not.
