Default PSP Router Issue

I just recently set my wireless router up, and my laptop and PS3 can both "scan" and see my router, but my PSP cannot scan or connect to the router even when I enter the router name and password. I got it to work briefly, but by the time I got to the PSN on my PSP, it had stopped working and I haven't been able to detect it since. I have a Netgear wndr3400. I even tried IOASS or whatever it is called. Does anyone know what the issue may be? I seem to be able to scan other access points that are local.
