Default Top 10 movies you want to get a new transfer

Some movies didn't get very good transfers for whatever reason. While they still look acceptable, they could be better.

Mine in no particular order

1. Vanilla Sky
2. The Fugitive
3. Anchorman 1
4. The 40 Year Old Virgin (looks messed up!)
5. Terminator 2
6. The Italian Job
7. Forrest Gump
8. Casino
9. Over The Top
10. Scent of a Woman

I'm gonna cheat a bit, but I also want to see new transfers for Rocky 1 - 5, Analyze This and Analyze That

They could look much better with less digital processing. MGM did an amazing job with The Spy Who Loved Me and wish they could redo the other Pre-Daniel Craig films as well.

This already has a superb release from France. No DNR, AVC, DTS-HD MA (I think), and a BD50. Keep the one you own since it keeps the special features. It's also Region Free and a very good price.

A few more than ten, but these are movies from my own collection I would love to see upgrades for...

Near Dark*

Phenomena

Stanley Kubrick films (especially Lolita, 2001, and A Clockwork Orange)

Back to the Future

The Burning

Motel Hell

Dog Soldiers (probably impossible, unfortunately)*

American Psycho

Basic Instinct

Bad Lieutenant

American Graffiti

Donnie Darko (only care about theatrical cut)*

GHOST WORLD (and a US release, please)

Silent Night Deadly Night*

* = distractingly awful transfers that badly need upgrades

i would also add the mallrats, chasing amy,jay and silent bob strike back. also the nightmare on elm street films the originals including wes craven's new nightmare color correct them and get rid of the terrible black crush on them and add the original theatrical audio and get the uncut versions of 1,5,6 in other words proper transfers and treatment also have the sequels on seperate 50gb blu ray discs. also new proper remasters from the big name studios warner bros titles universal studios titles disney titles etc. in other words all the studios that have terrible transfers on the classics or classics etc. that would benefit from new masters .

In no particular order:

Dawn of the Dead
Days of Heaven
They Live
Psycho
The Silence of the Lambs
Jaws
2001: A Space Odyssey
A Clockwork Orange
Pulp Fiction
Terminator 2: Judgment Day

There are some head-scratchers I've seen that others have posted. The Birds and The Breakfast Club have wonderful 4K remasters, Christmas Vacation got a new 2K scan from the IP and The Lost World: Jurassic Park is one of Universal's best discs.

Generally I am extremely happy with the transfers of my entire collection, with the glaring exception of "Sword in the Stone" from Disney. What a mess, and what a travesty. The people responsible should be ashamed.
