Default Kill List

Kill List Blu-ray PRE-ORDER

NEWS/TRAILER
https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Kill-List-Blu-ray/46705/

Quote:
MPI Media Group/IFC Films will release on Blu-ray director Ben Wheatley's thriller Kill List (2011), starring Neil Maskell, MyAnna Buring and Michael Smiley. Last year the film won Best Supporting Actor Award (Smiley) at the British Independent Film Awards. Street date is August 14th.

Note: Blu-ray.com has already reviewed the UK Blu-ray release of Kill List, courtesy of Studio Canal, here.

A brilliant blend of family drama, hitman action-thriller and terrifying psychological horror film, Kill List tells the story of an ex-soldier turned contract killer who is plunged into the heart of human darkness. Eight months after a disastrous hit job in Kiev left him physically and mentally scarred, Jay (Maskell) is pressured by his partner Gal (Smiley), into taking a new assignment. As they descend into the bizarre, disturbing world of the contract, Jay's world begins to unravel until fear and paranoia sending him reeling towards a horrifying point of no return.

A bit pricey at the moment (@ $20.99), though not unexpected for a pre-order item. The UK Double Play release is £8.00 (on Amazon UK) at the moment, but region B-locked, yet the single disc release is £15.99 but listed as region-free.

I'll just wait for the best possible price before making a decision.

The single-disc isn't region locked, but the version that comes with the DVD is? That's got to be a mistake, right? I wouldn't trust that until I see it mentioned elsewhere as well.

Actually, it is just a simple case of someone at Amazon.UK posting random "specs".

I have the UK release with slipcover. I might double dip depending on how this one compares.

Thanks for the clarification. The fact that it's a region B-locked title doesn't bother me (as I have a region-free player), but I can see this "random spec" misleading a few customers.

The DVD & Blu ray have been announced for US/Canada on August 14th. Saw this at the Toronto Film Festival and loved it, can't wait for the blu ray.

I'm surprised not much attention has been paid here to this masterpiece that came out today. Great transfer, great audio and some quality special features. I wonder how it compares to the U.K. BD.

I agree 100%. I wanted to buy this, but decided to watch on AMZ VOD first to make sure it is my cup of tea. (I am about 99.9% sure it is though) Surprised at the lack of a price drop as well.

This film is one of my favorites of this year/last year.... but that's actually why I put off buying it for a few days to find the best/better price on it, as I was expecting a drop right before release.

I was able to secure a 20.99 pre-order price for it before Amazon raised it to 24.99...but yeah, if Amazon was able to lower The Raid to 19.99, it's too bad they couldn't do the same for Kill List. I wonder if other IFC BDs are as expensive. I'm glad to have it, though, and I don't blame you for waiting out for it since it is an acquired taste.

Hmm, well, A Lonely Place to Die was reduced to $14.99 right before release.

I didn't see it at Best Buy today. Does it come with a slipcover?

Buy or rent, just make sure you give this one a try.

One of the best British thrillers around.

I absolutely love Kill List. As you can probably tell from my avatar. I've read some reviews of the U.S release of Kill List that haven't been very good which is unfortunate. The U.K disc has perfect picture quality which was even confirmed on this site.
