Was a real funny story.

Of course, the dad bought the PS3 the very day they got called in for interviews on Good Morning America.

Didn't know he rebuffed the communities attempts to get him one though, which is interesting [I understand the whys there].

It's good to hear that big corporations actually pay attention and reward those who do good things...

As a side note, Toshiba offerd their HD-A2 to the family, the only thing was they had to buy the player but got a special offer of 5 HD-DVD's after mail in rebate...

I've never heard of a corporation like Sony doing this, this is excellent, heart warming at that.

Putting the PS3 in the truck?

At least he wanted a system that wouldn't die from the heat or destroy the discs if played while being shook.

reminds me of the kid who was attacke by thugs who wanted his PS3 and had to sell it to pay the hospital and Sony didn't do anything ...
or was it an urban legend?
