USA What are the best / your favorite Steelbooks?

I'm looking to start collecting them since I currently have none. I'm also sick and tired of Blu-Ray cases being so fragile. Preferably, I'm not looking to import though as I want to keep my steelbooks stateside so I can keep the font in English although I'm willing to import from the UK if I must if the title's steelbook doesn't exist in the US. So what do you guys suggest I get?

Well, I personally don't see the point in collecting them for the sake of collecting them. They have to be movies I like/want and would buy anyway. So it may be worth thinking of a movie you might want to buy first, and then seeing if there's a steelbook version.

But a few of my faves are (owned and not owned):
In Canada, the recent Warner and Alliance waves (Departed, V for Vendetta, No Country for Old Men, Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead), as well as the FutureShop Lord of the Rings Jumbo Steelbook. Some of them have french as well as english writing on the spines, however.

The Hurt Locker (Korea, English language though)

The Disney and Pixar steelbooks. Especially Pinocchio, Wall-E, Sleeping Beauty, Nightmare Before Christmas)

From the UK, Minority Report, Avatar, Psycho, Star Trek, District 9, Metropolis (Region B locked).

The James Bond ones.

There are plenty of others out there which look pretty but are pretty bad movies

Just US steelbook only? not too many...if you are going to collect, the best steelbooks are outside of the US. You're missing out a lot of beautiful steelbooks out there.

As for US, not too many steelbooks beside the

- Disney from BestBuy
- Inception from FYE
- Salt from BestBuy

Again, there are not too many to choose from the US.

Oh, you need to understand that they have DVD size vs. Blu-Ray size steelbook...make sure you know that they exist... A lot of us hate the DVD size blu-ray steelbook

imo steelbooks are more fragile than regular blu-ray cases but it depends on how fussy you are about dings and dents.

Steelbooks are definitely more fragile than amarays, at worst you can still buy empty amarays to replace a damaged one. As for best steels, the hardest to find are usually the best

Future Shop Iron Man
Future Shop Transformers II
Star Trek
Disney Collection
Allaince Wave
Inception
District 9

There really are so many, if you start you won't be able to stop.

My favorite one is Rambo Amazon with tattoo, because I dont have it yet and want it badly and will pay for it along with Resident Evil Trilogy with the embossed Umbrella that just got released yesterday.

Oh and my two copies of the embossed Wanted are kick ass. I got two, because I found one on ebay for less than $100.

All embossed steels are awesome.
