Hello everyone,
When I open Windows Media Center on Windows 7 it does not display cover art images. What file type is everyones cover art, jpeg? gif? bitmap? Does anyone know how to make it display...I see some people with all there movies on Media Center and they display the cover art, im soooo annoyed. *same applies for using wd live plus The moderator so kindly allowed me to repost so a special thanks goes out to him and the bluray.com community for helping me. |

I have my media in their own folders in my MyVideos folder.
For example, I have a folder called "Transformers" in the MyVideos folder. Inside the "Transformers" folder is a "video_ts" folder containing the .vob and other files. Last edited by crackinhedz; 12-22-2010 at 11:53 AM. |

There is a program called media scout. This program allows you to organise your files into folders. My collections look like this ( I am trying to show folder within folder strusture by using dashes - Bear with me):
-Movies ---Movie 1 folder ( dvd folder ) ---Movie 2 folder ( inside is a digital copy wmv from a blu ray purchase ) ---Movie 3 ( inside is an Mpeg or MKV or other file etc ) -TV Shows ---TV Show 1 ------Season 1 -----------Episode 1 etc ---TV Show 2 ------Season 1 -----------Episode 1 etc Name each folder ( ie Movie 1/TV Show 1 etc ) with each film or TV show. By doing this, Mediascout recognises the films and shows and grabs banners, folders, backdrops and episode details from the TVDB and other sources. It will also add more than one of each and names them folder.jpg folder0.jpg folder1.jpg etc and backdrop.jpg backdrop0.jpg etc. You can then use a program called MediaBrowser ( free ) which should cache and pick up the metadata and folders/backdrops you have and randomise them should you wish via a setting in the configuration panel ( I cant remember off hand which tab the setting is in, I think its the main first tab ) Media Browser sits inside Media centre and is excellent for an HTPC type set up. This has given me a great way of showcasing and playing my films, TV, Stand up comedy, Kids TV and cartoons and music vids I have. Last edited by rob.sparrow; 12-22-2010 at 09:57 AM. |

You should try to use jpg or png.
As pointed out above, if you have a cover art jpg put it in a folder with your movie and call it folder.jpg If you have multiple iso files in 1 folder and want a "cover" for each, just name the jpgs exactly the same as the iso files except the extension - eg thenameofmymovie02468.iso thenameofmymovie02468.jpg This trick will work for any movie file type (avi, mpg, iso, mkv etc) Personally I use media browser as my front end and metabrowser to fetch the metadata and artwork. It costs but its the best ive found. |

It depends on how the person encoded the file and muxed the subs. They can be embedded to where you don't have the option to turn them on or off and sometimes they do it so that you can turn them off or even select different languages.
