Arrow Rubik's Cube: The Movie?

Quote:
Get ready for a movie version of the popular ‘80s puzzler, the Rubik's Cube.

Movie versions of childhood favourites 'Battleship' and 'Monopoly' are heading our way over the next couple of years, and it now looks like the multi-coloured block of plastic is joining them on the big screen.

The powerful Hollywood talent agency, Creative Arts Agency (CAA), has snapped up the toy as its client, and is pitching a movie version of the cube to various studios.

One of the suggestions revolves around people competing at a Rubik's Cube contest. Although it could be a short competition with the World Record standing at seven seconds to complete the 3x3x3 puzzler.

The agency's high profile talents include George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Joaquin Phoenix and Brad Pitt. Could any of these soon be trying to work out the brain-teasing puzzle?

The 3D puzzle was invented in 1974 by Hungarian sculptor Erno Rubik. Over 350 million cubes have been sold worldwide.

Previous game-to-screen adaptations include ‘Cluedo’ in cinemas and ‘Mouse Trap’, the kids’ game show.

What do you think the plot should be, and who should star in it?

I guess they really are running out of ideas for movies. It all had to start with Avatar. I saw someone also say there were making Battleship. They should of went with Candy Land.

I vote Will Smith since he already solved the cube in Pursuit of Happiness and in an episode of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Hollywood is fresh out of ideas.

I thought about searching for a picture or clip from that cartoon... but it was just too disturbing!

Maybe they can make it a remake or prequel of the Cube films, and introduce the Scientist who creates it as Dr. Rubik.

I imagine this to be the worlds most colourful Horror movie.

Our protagonists somehow end up trapped inside "The Cube" Every panel on the wall is a single colour from a 3x3 Rubiks cube, with the exception of red, these squares are blank. They must solve a terribly hard puzzle, located on every square, in the correct order in order to solve the cube, and grant their freedom. Also, each square that is supposed to be red, when it is time to solve that piece, instead of a puzzle, must be filled with the blood of one of the people inside!

And yes, the inside of the cube is a rainbow of bright cheerful colours.

I want to see this movie >.>

Well, you never know. Everyone laughed when it was reported they were making a Facebook movie. Look how that turned out in the end. And Clue was one of my favorite movies growing up. We'll see....
