Default BBC Blu-ray UK vs US versions

In general, in term of content, is there any difference between BBC Blu-ray UK version and US version? I know there is a difference with Planet Earth and Life. But other than those two, is there any difference with other titles?

Also, since UK use PAL while US use NTSC, would there be any compatibility problem?

It depends what specifically you're after. Sometimes BBC Blu-rays are encoded at 1080i50 (like Life and the recent Special Edition of Planet Earth) due to that being a European standard, and meaning that they will not play on many US players (including PS3s) even if they are region free. But in terms of the actual content... nothing springs to mind. As I say, you'd probably have better luck saying what titles you might be interested in...

I am interested in Life (UK version) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002UXRGM0/
Ancient Worlds http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0042HOPYY/
and Human Planets http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004EPYSBE

Will they play with PowerDVD software?
