Default New Jurassic Park trilogy coming

Jurassic Park 3 director Joe Johnston says a fourth Jurassic Park 4 film is coming and it will start a whole new trilogy.

Quote:
Well, there is going to be a Jurassic Park IV. And it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve seen. It breaks away from the first three—it’s essentially the beginning of the second Jurassic Park trilogy. It’s going to be done in a completely different way. That’s pretty much all I can tell you.

If you think of the first three as a trilogy, number four would be the beginning of a second trilogy.
More here

Dinosaurs have been off our screens for too long, so I hope they make more films and don't screw them up.

Could be awesome, indeed.

While I know it won't happen, I'd love to see an "R" rated Jurrasic Park style movie. Would be ****ing epic.

I actually enjoyed his JPIII. Only complaint was that it was too short with not much of a climax.

Love dinosaurs so bring it on!

I'll likely pass - Joe Johnston has only made one good film as far as I'm concerned - The Rocketeer in the early ninetees.

The first JP was awesome - the third was kind of embarrising. But I'm sure they will do the new movies in 3D and use that as a selling point.

But he has worked on several great ones. Wolfman and Cap will rock. I love 1 and 2 was solid but 3 sucked hardcore but it would be exciting to see a new trilogy if done well. Hopefully they at least bring Jeff Goldblum back, he was the best!

Last I heard weren't the dinosaurs supposed to have machine guns and rocket launchers attached to them? My ass is in a seat if that happens.

Agreed. All but 2 or 3 shots look great by today's standards.

I doubt that Doctors Grant or Malcom will be back if it is considered a brand new trilogy. I do hope they return though. I'm a fan of the franchise so you can count me in unless it looks absolutely awful.

I'd prefer to see Robert T. Bakker's "Raptor Red" done as a movie, but I really *hope* that this "reboot" is as good as the Batman, Iron Man, Spiderman, etc. reboots.... I'm not sure I *want* to see a JP in 3d, though. I remember about soiling myself enough times when the first one came out.

But aren’t they a bit prehistoric now to be running around screaming and yelling?

Now let me guess? Jurassic Park IV 4D goes beyond 3D! With holograph dinosaurs literally leaping off the screen and running around the cinema! Now that would be neat cinematic act if they can pull that one off.

lol I read Raptor Red when I was a kid... I remember it being pretty good, a story about life from the eyes of a raptor.

I will take more JP, loved 1 and 2 the 3rd one's ending was terrible but other than the ending I didnt think it ws too bad.
