Default NHL 08 or NHL 2K8????

IGN has reviewed both fairly well. As of Sept 11, the PS3 review hasn't been released yet, but I'm sure it'll be pretty close to the XBOX review:

NHL 08 Review - Score 8.6
http://ps3.ign.com/articles/819/819015p1.html

NHL 2K8 Review - Score 8.5 (XBOX 360)
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/819/819464p1.html

Default I don't know

I'm still torn between the two so I started this poll to see what the masses choose. I am sheep....BAAAA.

I'm leaning towards NHL 08 though, due to the Madden 08 promotion at Best Buy in Canada (can get it for $30 with NHL 08).

I tend to get the 2k sports because the gameplay is better. The graphics on the EA games are a little better, but the past few years I've really like the franchise mode for the NHL 2k.

It depends on what your looking for.

NHL2k8 keeps the classics way of playing hockey games.

NHL 2008 uses the one thumb stick as the hockey stick.

The IGN review says that 2K8 has a new Pro Stick which may frustrate users, but apparently, it's really good if you stick with it. So I wouldn't say it's a classic way of playing games.

So I guess they copied off EA? I like the old style better anyways.

I've been a 2K fan since the Dreamcast...I'll keep avoiding the EA Sports brand for as long as I can.

Anyone know if the ps3 version of nhl2k8 support online voice chat? 2k7 did not. I will be dissapointed if this was left out.

nhl 2k8 all the way. EA gameplay is inconsistant always changing gameplay every year. 2k has nice gameplay mechanics small changes for the better makes it more solid. 2k franchise mode is intense.

I'm probably going to buy both and decide which one is better

Last year I kept NHL 2k7, but the NHL 2008 demo was really, really good

ah yeah, there's a demo of NHL 08. I have 2k7 and really enjoy it, though i'm used to the EA series and some of the quirks of 2k are a bit... weird. I can't stand their gimped 360 ports, though.

Where is there a demo for nhl 08? The ps store doesn't have one, maybe 360 does but im more interested in playing the ps3 version to see how the framerate is.
