Default GT5 is pre-order on Amazon

Gran Turismo 5 available at Amazon for pre-order.

Amazon finally sent the email out today confirming the game is available for pre-oder. I thought I'd pass on the news....literally.

Release Date: June 30, 2008

There's a prologue or something coming first.

I've never played the GT series, but this one looks awesome. Normally I don't get into racing games that much, but I'll buy this for sure.

The demo they have for this on the PS store is going to pale to the real game. I can't wait for this one.

GT:4 was an awesome game, if you haven't played it I would grab a copy and check it out. I need to pull out my GT:4 saves and make sure my license is ready to transfer over to this one.

The real GT5 is going to take a while but GT5 Prologue is coming later this year.

Yep and I can't wait! 40-50 Cars, 16 cars on track, and multiplayer! They also expect to release DLC over the year until GT5 drops. I can't wait!

Forza 2 was such a letdown..

I have been playing the GT series since A spec on PS2 - I love them. Yes, I know a few people that have given up on it because they dont have the patience and dont put the time into getting better at it. But if you give it plenty of time you can get pretty good at it. I got to where I got all licenses on A spec and GT4. I cant wait for this game. Plus I have read somewhere that GT5 will have model damage this time (dont know about prologue). What I like about it is the realism, the sheer number of cars and plenty of tracks. And of course the photorealistic graphics. This series is bar none the best racing sim ever by light years.

This is a funny stat shown on that page:
23% buy Sony PlayStation 3 Blu-ray Disc Remote $24.99

I'd say the attach rate may be higher than we thought.
