Default Full Screen TV shows on Blu-ray

I wanna start out by saying i have no problem with fullscreen. In fact i used to watch a lot of Full Screen things on my plasma with black lines on the left and right. But then i noticed i was getting Burn-in from the black lines. Now i try to just watch Widescreen movies, i watch Full Screen every now and then but im careful not to watch it for to long.

Having said that, I would also like to point out that many TV shows that were released on DVD in Full Screen and only aired in Full Screen were filmed in Widescreen. Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the best example of this. Starting from, i believe, season 4 it was filmed in Wide Screen. They knew it was going to air in Full Screen so they filmed the episodes with that in mind. However, those episodes are filmed in Wide Screen and can be released that way if they so chose.

Now im all about preserving the original aspect ratios, but not if it restricts me from watching certain things for certain amounts of time. I for one hope some of these shows are Released in Wide Screen on Blu-ray. We wouldnt gain much in the sense of picture from it but we wont have to worry about Burn-in. Its not like the Wide Screen format would take away from the shows just because they werent intended for Wide Screen.

What do you guys think?

P.S. I consided an LCD but they are substantially darker than plasmas. When i watch upconverted Angel discs (which are in widescreen) on my plasma, it is still sometimes difficult to make out what is going on because of how dark the picture is, the show being set primarily at night. It was worse on the Samsung LCD i had before. Buffy is also heavy on the night shots and an LCD would just add to the problem. Something with a big production value like Batman Begins still looks good at night but Buffy and Angel are not as clear.
