Default Happy To See Ratatouille Is The # 1 Preorder On This Site!!!

It's great to see this title as # one and the other Disney/Pixar films doing well on the preorder lists as well. We need to show Disney the did the right thing by supporting Blu-Ray exclusively.

I'm getting it based on word of mouth. Is it really that good? How does it compare to say Cars, Monster House, or The Incredibles (Can't wait for that one!)?

Im picking it up too... Great movie ( seen in theatre ) and should really look amazing with blu-ray, Pixar has come pretty far with animation over the years.... This movie will really show what BLU can do.......

It's more in line with MH & TI than it is with Cars. Basically 180 degrees from the animated template... it's a film for adults with just enough in there to keep the kiddies interested.

Yes, I am aware of that. That is a good thing....should make November a very good month for Blu-Ray owners preordering with Amazon.

I thought it was one of the best animated films I have ever seen along with The Incredibles and Finding Nemo....Too bad we have to wait til next Winter for Nemo..., but I am curious as to when they will announce a release date for The Incredibles.

This was the last movie my kid sister (age 32) got to see: she went with me & my wife & my three-year-old daughter, and a week later she was dead from metastatic colon & liver cancer.

She was a huge Disney film fan. Consumer-based grief therapy is the reason I bought a Blu-Ray player: if I have to go on watching all her favorite movies without her for the rest of my life, I'm damn well going to do it in the highest definition available. I only regret I hadn't done it while she was still here.

Anyway, it's a little hard for me to be objective about the film...I think it has a few minor shortcomings, but it's amazingly good considering the creative changes made in midstream during its development & production. Pixar & Brad Bird set the bar pretty darn high anyway; I have a feeling it will become my 2nd favorite Pixar film after The Incredibles.

I agree it's pretty sophisticated for an animated film, but for most of its running time it held my three-year-old's attention quite well---and on her first trip to the theatre, as well. (I'm sure it helped that she was a big fan of the 9-minute online sneak preview for the month before the full release).

I am extremely sorry for you loss. I am happy to hear that you all were able to enjoy the film and am sure it will bring you back to that place you shared when you eventually own it on Blu.
