Thumbs up

Cool! I would get this one in a heartbeat! And it comes with improved audio over the Warner version. Excellent! I hope this turns out to be true and, of course, region free.

Don't think so. We would have heard of it, don't you think?

Only the existing HD-DVD and Japanese version and the upcoming UK, French and Dutch versions (have I missed one since they are so many?) of Terminator part 2.

Maybe there's more on DVD.

I just noticed that MGM has Publishing Rights for Terminator in the US and has also released the Film on BD. It's not available here in Germany yet though, so I'm wondering if a different company has the Rights here.

@Transporter: Do you know the answer to that one?

MGM own the rights in France (at least that's what's on the DVD of The Terminator I own).

And according to Amazon.de:

Studio: MGM Home Entertainment GmbH (dt.)

I'm pretty sure that MGM has the rights here to. I think it breaks down like this in Germany:

- Terminator: MGM
- T2: Kinowelt
- T3: Sony

Wonder when T1 will hit the german streets. Maybe jwbbud is right that having 2 and 3 in Steelbooks will convince MGM to release it as Steel here as well

Three different copyright owners... Verrrry bad karma!

Sorry, no clue on who owns them in Germany. Never cared about it.

Steigen means to climb. i.e. stairs, hill etc.

Aufgehen and Aufstehen comes closer. Like sunrise or to get up in the morning.

Aufstand means rebellion, so here the translation comes as close as possible. As far as I remember Terminator 3 was called Aufstand der Maschinen when it first came out, but was renamed now into Rebellion der Maschinen. Don't know why.
