United Kingdom How difficult would it be to get English subtitles on-line through your BD player?

The title says it all. We all have a list of films which aren't English friendly. I just posted about Renaissance in the French section. How difficult would it be for the studios to release subs on-line. Say I bought the French version Renaissance on BD. Why can't you go to BD-Live and get the subs through that software or an update like you have with PS3 games? It would really open your options in purchasing titles like the TV versions of the Millennium Trilogy/The Girl Trilogy.... or the original theatrical subtitles for Day/Night Watch. I'm sure there's quite a long list.

Are the logistics just to complicated? Or is it a good idea?
