Finally being released on BD in the UK just as I was about to import the French release! Coming Nov 2nd, still no sign of a release for the first movie.

Terrible movie. We NEED the first film and the Japanese two. Those are great films.

Having had a quick look at the review disc (not had chance to watch it properly yet), it appears to be the theatrical cut.

I pulled out my DVD of the SMG remake and it’s still a decent enough film, still stands up.

If that’s the case then I’m more than happy to keep my copy, it has the unrated cut.

Strange as I think they released the fog unrated here, same people I think. Is it for sure the rated cut?

At this point, I just want Shout Factory to get the sequels since they have a deal with Sony

That would be ideal to me too. Get them in a 4K boxset

We didn’t get the grudge blu ray in the uk sadly but yeah I think the USA one is.

Even though this is the theatrical cut, how is the PQ on this release? The old usa dvd I have is suck-suck.
