Default Question about Neilsen ratings

When we see the sales figures on friday, are they World wide numbers, U.S. numbers, North America?

I mean if Japan is 90% Blu, Australia, Europe being pro-blu, shouldn't the numbers be higher than a 2-1 ratio?

If these are not world wide numbers, is there any way to find those figures?

Videoscan is USA only.

I am not sure such a service exists for international, though some markets may have a similar service...

Videoscan only tracks north America (Canada/US) but we don't know if the numbers are US only or not

They're US and Canada. It's not all of North America since Mexico isn't tracked (not that there'd be much HDM there anyhow, I'd imagine...).
