This is a sequel to that film:

I haven't seen it yet, but I've been hearing from many people that it is pretty bad. I'll rent it because I do want to see it, but I'm definately not blind buying it.

I liked it well enough. It was very exposition-heavy, but the effects were pretty good. I guess it'd make a good popcorn flick.

Worst movie I've seen this year.

I've got 2BD French edition of the first one, which I really like, but this one? Pass.

Is the French edition Region free? I heard it's the best transfer.

Pre-Ordered the 3D version. My theater saw fit to only show this in 2D, so I'm looking forward to finally seeing it in 3D at home.

USA Silent Hill: Revelation 3D/2D - Preorder

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment brings home literally the worst movie of 2012. And this coming from an avid fan of the Silent Hill series. If you thought the original 2006 version was bad, your in for a real sour treat with this one.

I love all 6 of the games(including Homecoming and Downpour) but, I absolutely freakin' hate these films.

Finally got to see this one. I liked it better than the 1st one and it was one of the better horror flicks for 2012.

So they go for a story based around Silent Hill 3, but ignore Silent Hill 2?

How much screentime does Sean Bean have? More than the first film I'm hoping?

He had less screen time in this one and not only that he was stuck with most of the terrible dialogue in the film, which occurs at the beginning (whole trying to heavily explain the set up) and the end (while trying to explain what just happened). The beginning and end of the film have easily the worst most corny dialogue I have heard in the some time but the middle fairs better.
I actually liked this, after my initial disappointment leaving the theatre but it grew on me, though I absolutely love the first and this one does not reach the same level. But I just can't help but love the silent hill world and story so I will be adding this to collection, it definitely had its moments, but it definitely also could have been better, but I mostly blame the writing.
I wouldn't mind seeing an extended cut if one existed.
