Default Night Of The Demons 2 Question

Good god was it a horrible movie. Awful. I really couldn't believe they edited in shots from the original movie. The camera work was horrible. I counted a couple shots where the camera gets bumped and they still kept the shot. Amateur in every sense of the word. I'm not sure how I really liked this movie as a kid.

Here's my question.
Why are half of the shots completely blurry? Were one of the cameras damaged? Some of the shots are sharp and the rest are very blurry. Especially closeups and far away shots. Is this just the way it was filmed?

I watched this BD about a week ago and I thought it looked pretty good. Didn't notice blurry scenes and I watch very hard. Haha

It's not specific scenes. It's every scene.... About every 2-3 angle changes there is a blurry shot. Specifically closeups of Zoe Trilling. I've never seen anything like this before. It's like they were filming with a 50 mm lens and go too close to the actors so it caused blurring.

I'm afraid I didn't notice this issue. Whole movie looked great to me and I am the funniest person about anything wrong with a film release. It is a tad grainy. That is all I noticed.

I wish I could take screen caps. I emailed Olive about it... I got it off Amazon and maybe someone sent me a bootleg.

Yeah, It could be. I swear the one I have looks great. I bought mine directly from amazon. Not a seller. Check into it.

My copy looks great as well and i've never noticed the issue you're referring to. I thought this was a good sequel, IMO

I agree that it is a good sequel. The 1st one is better to me though.

Olive's response:

Hello,

Thank you for your email. What you're describing is not a faulty copy but rather the shape of the source materials. Night of the Demons 2 was a low budget movie that's now coming up on 20 year anniversary. If we add all these factors together (20 year old film, low budget, etc) than multiply them by the immense detail represented in the Blu-Ray format, any imperfections in the film will become even more visible to the viewer.

I hope you enjoyed our release and our new transfer despite the shortcomings of the source material,
