Default TV stands/Media Centers

Just bought a 54 inch plasma and I don't think my IKEA media center will hold this thing.

Looking for a nice TV stand that has a center speaker shelf.

Any recommendations on a brand or website?

Thanks.

Just a thought. I was in the 500 dollar range until I saw and heard about Salamander. I told the sales guy 1200 for a TV stand??? He said don't look at it as a TV stand but a fine piece of furniture. With that logic I was sold. Furthermore, when you are watching movies TV or sports or when you have people over to watch movies most eyes are directed at the TV so a nice stand can really enhance the viewing experience to a degree. Just a thought. You can see a pic of mine in my gallery.

Salamander certainly has some very nice TV furniture but a little out of my price range. I don't think I could justify spending $1.2K on it...the same price I paid for my 54G25

Thank you, that's a great looking TV stand.

I checked the 6th ave store and they do not have it in store.

I'll take a look at that website.

I hope you don't mind me jumping on your thread, but you've gotten some nice suggestions. I love these, but with a 20 month old I want to get mine up and out of his way. Any suggestions on wall mounts and where to buy them? A few members have suggested monoprice, but I can't really tell what they look like. Can anyone else recommend a wall mount for a 55" LG?
