Actually I'm surprised the porn industry hasn't already heavily gotten into 3D. it was the porn industry that made VHS a success in the first place and they were also partially responsible for a lot of DVD's success. It's also a way to differentiate from the free porn available online.
The availability of this BD will cause a lot of guys to say, "honey, you know we really should get a new 3D set so the kids will be able to watch their 3D animated features properly." But if you think about it, you have to wonder how much 3D you'll actually see in a Sports Illustrated shoot. If you look at the way they shoot, the photographer is generally pretty far back from the model. The model is mostly in the water with nothing behind her except for more water and perhaps a few clouds. And so much 3D has the "Viewmaster effect" where rather than seeing true depth, you see a series of flat planes. So I wonder whether the models will actually have any perceptible depth to their bodies, which is what you'd want to achieve in this kind of thing. |

And free porn online is the reason no real technology HAS caught on for the major companies since the invention of the Internet. The industry peaked when it eliminated hard copies that you had to hide. ![]() |

I am with the original poster on this one. Everyone is going around telling us how 3D is the futur, itès here to stay..blah blah blah....
Yet, all they do is using it as a gimmick and this one is a gimmick, nothing more. They have to start using 3D in the proper way, stop with all the conversion, promoting it mostly for animation and big budget fantasy/superheroes/scifi movies and stupid little stuff like this swinsuit Blu-ray to make teen's from 12-70 drool at the mouth. |
