Default Anybody use Harmony 1000 universal remote?

Thinking about buying one. It would be nice to get rid of the 6 remotes that clutter my entertainment area and replace it with 1 item that looks appealing too. Especially with my new Panasonic Blu-ray player that includes a remote that looks like it was designed for either old people that can't see or infants that love different bright colors. It looks like it should say "playschool"(sp?) on it. I wish I could see the list of models that it can run just to make sure all of my stuff will work with it. Goes for $499 at Best Buy but can be had for $250 on ebay...

Anybody ever use this? Whats your experience with it? Thanks in advance.

we have the 1000 and sony RM-AX4000A. While I personally prefer the old ax4000a, the 1000 has some great features the pc software is easy to use(at least for me), the screen is very bright as opposed to the old sonys, and its durable. I've personally dropped it about 4 times and its hung in there compared to some of the old remotes. its a good choice unless you dont have tons of things to run, you might be able to get by with the 850.. hope that helps

I'm more into the touch screen. Less buttons and looks better. I also won't be using a PC since I've got an Apple MacBook Pro and I know they're compatible, but I hope it still works good together. I'll be running the equipment thats in my sig and my comcast box, along with maybe my ceiling fan light if possible.
