Six New Yorkers juggle love, friendship, and the keenly challenging specter of adulthood. Sam Wexler is a struggling writer who's having a particularly bad day. When a young boy gets separated from his family on the subway, Sam makes the questionable decision to bring the child back to his apartment and thus begins a rewarding, yet complicated, friendship. Sam's life revolves around his friends-Annie, whose self-image keeps her from commitment; Charlie and Mary Catherine, a couple whose possible move to Los Angeles tests their relationship; and Mississippi, a cabaret singer who catches Sam's eye.
Written, Directed and Starring Josh Randor (How I Met Your Mother)

Also Starring:
Kate Mara, Malin Akerman, Zoe Kazan, Tony Hale, Pablo Schreiber, & Michael Algieri

Anyone seeing this this weekend? Apparently it opened, and I want to see it, but its not playing anywhere around me. I like the cast a lot, and I've heard nothing about good things about it so far. Would love to hear some thoughts by some of the people on the board if they get a chance to see it.

Saw the trailer a couple weeks ago. It looked oddly funny, with the guy from How I Met Your Mother sort of taking in the little kid, and wow. The Watchmen chick went full-shaved head and face for her role. We need more actresses to be comfortable enough with themselves to take risks like that. Real beuty personified. Too many actresses are so prissy they won't let the DP film them from certain angles.

I caught the premier. Got to meet the writer/director too. If anyone is living in NYC, its playing in the Angelika theater.

I really liked the movie. It was unique, short and funny. It wasn't a romantic comedy. You will get to see a lot of culture that you see in NYC. Also, the film in centered around SOHO/Greenwich village (art center of NYC), so, there is an underlying appreciation of art throughout the film. It brings to the fore how people struggle to live as artists. Its also about love/life etc.

Definitely, go watch it.

Nope. Many suggestive scenes though.

Hate to be negative, but Radnor's role in it seems like he's just playing Ted again.

Hopefully I'll get to see this somehow, that thought doesn't affect me from wanting to see this.

Well, I'd rather he played a character he was good at then a character he can't play.
