RIP Robert Loggia.

Oscar-Nominated Actor Robert Loggia Dies at 85



Loggia will always be remembered as the toy company boss who supervised Tom Hanks in Big (1988), as Frank Lopez in Scarface (1983), and as the general in Independence Day (1996). Whenever I see his face, though, I'll always think of Loggia as the ill-fated New York City police lieutenant who, along with Martin Sheen, comes to the attention of a sinister voodoo cult in The Believers (1987), because I wore out my VHS tape of that movie back when I was in high school.
