United Kingdom Play.com question!!

Hello,

I have ordered multiple blu-ray's and dvd's of one or more products.
I have bought 7 copies of 1 specific product and 2 times 6 of 2 different DVD's.

But I just read that you can only buy 5 products of each item.
So what will happen now?

Will they be delivered or not? And what if they charge me, but tell me afterwards that 2 or 1 have been cancelled? Do I get my money back than?

And I think this rule is weird. Why are they determining how much you can or can not buy? I understand if the rule applies to special or limited products, but it appears that this rule applies for ALL products.

Amazon f.e. is not using this rule.

Does anyone have any experience with buying a quantity of 5 or more of 1 specific product? Did this go without products? How strict are they with applying this rule?

I bought 3 for myself (1 to open and watch, 2 as 'reserve' incase one gets damaged, 2 as a present and 2 for trade).

I cannot answer all of your questions, but I do know that play.com charge debit/credit cards when the item is dispatched. Hope that helps

So, if they charge my card, that means they have shipped it and they cannot undo the order?

Thanks for the answers...
I have one last question, just to be relieved:

- Does anyone have positive experience with buying 5+ copies of 1 title? So did they (Play.com) deliver it eventually?

Sounds like they've tightened their belts with the ar*ehole ebay sellers. A good thing really because it gives genuine buyers a sporting chance to get things at their proper retail price without having the p*ss taken by tw*ts on ebay.

Yes, I agree. I just read some people have bought 50pc of 1 steelbook...

But there are some OOP dvd's (OOP in Holland) which are available in the UK and I need them for myself and for some other people who've request it, but since it is above 5 (6) and (7) they might cancel my order because of eBay sellers?

Weve all put 2 and 2 together, so you might as well say it, '7 copies of a specific product' eh ...what your asking is will you get all your copies of Iron man

as far as Im aware dont Play limit individual orders to 5 copies of any one item per transaction? you can order as many as you want, you can order 10 if you want but in 2 orders of 5 rather than one order of 10 otherwise it might be reduced to 5...might not, cant say for sure as Ive not bought multiple copies for 'friends'

Yes, 7 of them are Iron Man, I admit that. But like I said, 3 are for me and I've only bought 2 to trade/sell. So I will definitely not make a 'huge' profit out of them (maybe if I sell all 7 of them, but I won't, since I am a steelbook collector myself + I have allready received 30 euro's to buy 2 for friends). I have an eBay account for 5 years now and I've NEVER sold anything (only bought 8 products, 7 of them in the last week (thor 2x, chronicle 2x, Unforgiven Digibook, Fast Times at Ridgemont High and The Outlaw Josey Wales digibook).

But will they delete the other 2 or not?

I dont think you will know up until a couple of days before release date when they start shipping them out. you could try contacting them on the phone.

i pre-ordered 6 copies of ghost protocol steelbook (no i didnt sell them on ebay) and play.com suspended my account and i had to call them on the phone and explain why i ordered so many before they let me buy them.

I believe the OP that he's buying for his friend, especially if that friend has a first name starting with an E and a surname like Baynard, or maybe Bay for short
