Just wondering if anyone knows if the blu ray movies will play in 1080p and 60fps? What about the older movies?
Well either way I'm sure it'll look great |

The original Todd-AO process (the pioneer of modern 70mm) used 30fps. "Oklahoma!" in 1955, and "Around the World in Eighty Days" in 1956, were released in both 70mm 30fps, and 35mm 24fps. These are the only general release movies that I know of that break the 24fps rule. As an additional note, the vast majority of TV series were filmed before being converted to video. Strangely enough, every TV show I know of that is on film is 24fps. Examples include Star Trek (The original series), The Equalizer, Knight Rider, Quantum Leap, Hogan's Heroes, Gilligan's Island, Battlestar Galactica, Airwolf, The Bob Newhart Show, I Love Lucy, A-Team, etc. |
