My friend is playing Homefront (but this has happened other times as well with other games) and he has a weak internet connection. So when he starts a game, it may prompt him for an update. Sometimes it'll update it, sometimes not. So he'll often just bypass the update, and play the game.
For some reason in the MIDDLE of a game, often in a big firefight or whatever, it'll pop up an "update data prompt". If he cancels it, it'll take him back to the game that's paused, and he can continue. If he tries to update it, and it fails, it'll back him out of the entire game, making him start over. Now aside from the obvious of him disabling his wireless, what is the reason that this would pop up in the MIDDLE of the game? I, myself, have never had this happen during a game, only when I first start the game up. Thanks for any help you can give me. |
