Mafia 2 screen problem

I have the slim 160gb ps3...never had any problems with it and i have like 6-7 games other than mafia 2...i played the first part of mafia 2 and certain parts the screen flashes or graphics look shakey...like for example when i went into the store to buy clothes...when i look at the clothes theres lines that go thru them then there ok..then when i look away and back at the clothes same thing happens...the game is really fun just weird how the screen has lines or flashes...is it the game or my ps3 tearing up? should i get a new game or install it again or is this the way it is...i dont mind just hope its not my ps3.
