Default Fast blinking timer light - will not turn on

On my Mits WD65733 DLP the timer light is fast blinking green, and I cannot turn the TV on.

I can almost hear something running inside the TV, but it is very faint, does not sound like the fan.

The lamp and status LEDS are not lit, only the timer light is fast blinking green.

I tried the following with no luck:
  • Waited for the blinking light to stop after one and eight hours
  • Unplugged for an hour, then plugged back in
  • Unplugged for eight hours, then plugged back in
  • Hit the reset button
  • Unlugged HDMI and digital RCA cable
  • Remote will not work
  • On/off button on the TV will not respond
  • Tried a hard reset (guide and format button at the same time)

She has been a great TV up to this point.

I still have another seven months on my extended warranty plan

Time for service or is there something else I should try?
