Just finished watching this and WHOA is it dark. Very darkly comedic. I was attracted to this based solely on the cast, and it was definitely worth it, but I felt depressed as shit when finished.
A second series is to be filming this summer (2011) and there's a possibility of a third series. ![]() CAST: Max Beesley Marc Warren Philip Glenister John Simm Ben Chaplin SYNOPSIS: Quote:

Yeah that trailer absolutely does not convey just the dark tension and twisted aspects to this show.
I honestly thought I'd blow my brains out if I had to see a full season of this. Not because it's bad, it's not. It's very good. Very well written and acted and directed. But it's just really darkly comic, but not in the vein of "Very Bad Things" or "War of the Roses". Just f*cked up. EDIT: I just added a second trailer that I found that more accurately portrays the overall tone to the show. It's below as well. Last edited by Groo The Perverted; 06-05-2011 at 08:15 AM. |
