Ghost Whisperer - Season 5 DVD Box Set - Help?

Hope someone ou there can help me with this problem.
Just bought ghost whisperer - season 5 dvd box set - region 1 of Ebay and I'm not sure if it's a proper region 1 dvd box set or a fake.
To try and find out if it's a fake or not i tried it on my dvd player which is multiregion but i set it to region 2 thinking that it wouldn't play but it did.
I would of thought it would of come up with a region code error.
The box set does look genuine but i'm not 100% sure.
The only tell tale sign is the discs, one the back of the discs it has laserd into it around the hole - ghost whisperer the final season dvd 1 etc.
If anybody out there in the U.S.A. who has bought this box set could you please have a look at your box set and confirm if it has the same thing on your discs.

Those are clearly pressed dvds so if you bought them from someone in the US and not Hong Kong I would trust them. I have alot of TV boxsets that say region 1 even if its region free because its NTSC not PAL and meant to be distributed in North america

Thanks for the reply, I bought them from a seller on Ebay in the uk, But wasn't 100% sure or not.
I've never had a region 1 dvd that played on a region 2 set dvd player.
