Canada No video playback w/ PowerDVD 13 & LG external

Just got an external LG BD drive today(BP06LU11), and since the provided PowerDVD 9 software was awful, I opted for PowerDVD 13. Drive loads discs no problem, and PowerDVD 13 plays the audio fine (well, the menu audio anyhow) but all I get is a purple-ish screen. This is pretty damn irritating since I've spent the past couple hours trying to solve the problem myself by searching online but no one seems to have the same issue.

Cyberlink's BD Advisor gave me a 'Fail', but from what I understand its not that reliable of an "advisor". Anyways, it indicated that my AMD Radeon HD 7660G graphics card was not BD ready, and that I have no 'Hardware dual video decoding capability' for H.264, MPEG-2 or VC-1.

My laptop is new-ish (Samsung 355V5C-A03) so I guess I just assumed it was ready to go.

Anyone have any ideas?

Only a quick guess, have you been to Samsung's website to check that all your drivers are up to date?

I believe it has to do with the 3D settings in PowerDVD 13, its converting the image to anaglyph 3d. Try turning it off by clicking on the 3D button, the one to the right of the play button.
