On my LG BD630, the manual states you can playback XviD videos. From what I understand are somewhat compatible with DivX. I don't understand why none of the DivX encoded videos will not playback on this player if XviD and DivX are compatible. My old DVD player would play DivX and XviD, but I guess I don't completely understand why an XviD compatible player will not playback DivX?
Does it have to do with the version of DivX that XviD supports? EDIT: I've already spoken with LG support about this, they said DivX isn't supported, but I was just curious why DivX players will play XviD, but XviD players will not play DivX? Last edited by ziltink; 04-07-2011 at 08:25 PM. |
