Default PLEASE HELP! Philips bdp3000

ive had this for nearly a year now and its decided not to work. it'll turn on, the display says 'philips' and nothing else. no display on tv, disc tray wont open, nothing.

if anyone could help it'd be much appreciated

I was gonna suggest doing a "reset" but seeing as you get no on screen display would be kinda hard! ...hail marry toss up, try unplugging the player from the wall for a minute...see if this can force a hard reset?

did you recently do a firmware update and perhaps turned it off at the wrong moment? (just asking anything possible, as accepting defeat is last resort)

Tried everything imaginable.

Talking to phillips customer support as my last resort before i buy a new one.
