Default Favorite movie that you are glad it didn't get a sequal

Pick a movie that you loved to death, but know that it easily could've gotten a sequal that would've been beyond terrible. (There are those out there)

My pick is Independence Day. It easily could've gotten a sequal and that would probably be a bad idea.

The Shining....this one has stayed out of the eyes of remakers too....besides the SK tv series. That doesn't count.

Hot Fuzz.
You could easily do a sequel, but I'm glad they don't because the first works so well and you can't get that same great feeling from it a second time.

along those same lines: Shaun of the Dead. glad this one didn't get apprehended or dragged through the "so good it demands a remake" river

I never mind filmmakers attempting a sequel. Sometimes you get a surprisingly good film, and occasionally you get one that's arguably superior to the original (Terminator 2, The Road Warrior, etc.) Besides, it doesn't diminish the greatness of the original just because they made a crappy cash-in sequel...and you can't blame them for doing it!

"Favorite movie that you are glad it didnt getsequel"?

Sorry, but this title doesnt make sense to me.
I am always more than happy to see sequels for my favorite movies.

Isn't there a sequel to that in development?

I would have to say Pulp Fiction, Akira, and Goonies.
