Pick a movie that you loved to death, but know that it easily could've gotten a sequal that would've been beyond terrible. (There are those out there)
My pick is Independence Day. It easily could've gotten a sequal and that would probably be a bad idea. |

I never mind filmmakers attempting a sequel. Sometimes you get a surprisingly good film, and occasionally you get one that's arguably superior to the original (Terminator 2, The Road Warrior, etc.) Besides, it doesn't diminish the greatness of the original just because they made a crappy cash-in sequel...and you can't blame them for doing it!
