Default Babysitter Wanted

Did anyone else pick this up yesterday? I've been looking forward to seeing this movie since I've heard it's similar to House of the Devil, which I really enjoyed. I got my copy in yesterday and I am really disappointed with the quality of it. The video is MPEG-2 and looks no better than a DVD and the audio defaults to Dolby 2.0. There's a Dolby 5.1 option, but I can't get it to work. Also, there's no pop-up menu. It just goes back to the regular main menu. This just seems like a DVD on a Blu-ray disc.

Thanks for the head's up. Wanted to get this but I guess I'll wait for the price to drop. Not paying $25 for a crappy blu.

Yeah, I picked it up as well. Pretty crappy Blu and the movie is certainly no House of the Devil on which I based this blind buy. The audio (also can only get a 2.0 track) seems to have been mastered at twice the volume of regular discs and it still sounded like crap.

I think we would have been better off with the DVD. At least it offers 5.1 audio, or so the box says.

When I saw this thread title, I thought it was going to be a thread about how you need a babysitter to watch the kids while you watch your Blu-rays.

I was interested in this movie, but I couldn't find any reviews of the Blu-ray or even discussions about it prior to release. I might have picked it up had my BB stocked it, but now I'm glad they didn't. I know it was released by the small label that made it, not one of the big studios, so that may be the reason for the poor quality. Still disappointing, though.

Default Babysitter Wanted - Region free?

Does anybody know if "Babysitter Wanted" - is Region free?

Could someone please check their disc for me?

I've looked all other the net for days at the usual places for blu-ray region info, but I've come up blank...

thank you

The back cover has the old DVD Region 1 symbol on it which doesn't make too much sense since BD doesn't use that system. Not sure of any other way for me to tell.
