Default Essential Blu-ray's to Own

What would be a top 25 list of essential blu ray's to own? I realize everyone's opinion is different so it will be cool to see all the differing lists.

I wouldn't say one film is worth owning more than another. Everyone has different tastes, so you'll probably end up with a huge list of everyone's favorites.

I guess what you could consider "essential" are American classics, such as Gone With The Wind and The Godfather, and Foreign classics, such as The 400 Blows and The Seven Samurai.

I have always thought it to be very beneficial if you're well-rounded with different cultures.

Off the top of my head, here are 25 five-star Blu-rays that excel both in movie content and technical presentation...

The Thin Red Line
The Twilight Zone: The Complete Series
Casino Royale
Skyfall
Army of Shadows
The Spy Who Came in from the Cold
Seconds
Niagara
Blade Runner
Jaws
Psycho
North by Northwest
Shadow of a Doubt
Sweet Smell of Success
The Searchers
Dr. No
From Russia with Love
Casablanca
Alien
The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp
Black Narcissus
The Night of the Hunter
The Leopard
The Godfather
On the Waterfront

This is not a list of my Top 25 All-Time Favorite Movies, although many of the above films are my favorites. Instead, it's a list of 25 films that I love and was particularly blown away speechless when I saw them in high definition on their existing Blu-ray presentations.

These are movies that astounded me when I saw how they look on Blu-ray.

So this would be like a, 'let's say you moved and you can only keep 25 blu-rays', right?
