Where is it? I have been waiting for ever for this movie,Amazon has had it up for pre-order for over a year now with no release date,i thought Universal announced this title sometime ago for release on Blu but i cannot find anything about it now.

This is a must have catalog release on blu,i hope it is given a proper restoration,a true classic.

It's just another placeholder. Amazon has hundreds of these for various BD titles. Until a release date is officially announced that's all it is.

If Amazon is actively taking pre-orders for it, it is more than a placeholder.

This has happened with other titles where Amazon has had to cancel pre-orders. Ben Hur and the Ace Ventura double feature come to mind.

It happens time-to-time due to unforeseen issues (i.e. studio changing their plans). But Amazon does not just arbitrarily take pre-orders, and the difference between a placeholder ("Sign up to be notified") and an active pre-order is significant.
