Eating challenges

I've tried a few ( all burgers ):

- Lindy's on 4th OMFG burger ( as seen on Man Vs. Food ). I failed.

- Longhorn Casino 1lb Monster Burger & fries. ( doesn't sound like much but I was surprised. ) I won.

- Cheeburger Cheeburger Famous Pounder. I won & got my pic on the wall.

- My kid at the time was 6. He tried the 1/2 lb kid's challenge & won. His uncle couldn't even finish his 1/2 pounder.

I don't want to derail your thread, but as a potential side-topic I have always wondered: Do people do eating challenges/contests while under the influence of marijuana? All I'm saying is that my stomach knows no bottom when I have the munchies...

Although I'm only about 5'7 and 150 pounds, I have always suspected that I could eat anyone under the table as long as my eyes were a little puffy and red beforehand... I've never officially tried, though, but I've probably unofficially downed a gallon of milk within 30-60min before.

Ive never been into the glutony aspect of food..though I can certainly over eat when I wanna to watch it makes me gag....that Man vs Food show is disgusting..

....yet strangely entertaining (for me). I have no interest in being a participant in any of the challenges (I need to salvage my arteries for down the road ), but if someone wants to put their body through these, I'll be in the cheering section.

I gave it my shot at an eating contest recently. The local bowling alley made a 2 1/2 foot long meatball sub with something like 15 meatballs, cheese, and bread. I could only eat half of it, and I felt pretty awful all night.

Yeah...I don't think I'll be doing that again. As much as I enjoy food, there really is such a thing as too much.
