Will definitely grab at least one of these (maybe 2). These Mediabooks are my version of Blufans in terms of collectability and fun. Besides, I'd rather not wait until the producers decide to get off their butts and let someone release this in the US.

there is also announced to be a Cover B MEdiabook with the Extended Edition, but it seem not to be avaible at dtm.at.

Too expensive for just the one cut per release (!), why not put all 3 versions in one set? I already own the Arrow version which has most extra features, I'd only double dip for a separate release of the extended cut in HD, but not at these prices.

Cover B is said to have 500 cps.

Well I'm interested, but I hope someone provides info/screenshots of the transfer. I got burned on the Japanese set. The transfers on that set sucked.

It is unlikely that the AT Transfer would be better. If we are lucky the image quality is 1:1 as the japanese set and not even more filtered.

IF XT would have a new transfer, it would be announced big.

Anyone tell me which is the best version of this film to get that is available to buy, or should I go for the German media book version

Australian 1 or 2 disc is best Value imo, as can be bought on ebay for £10-11
has same transfer as OOP UK Arrow release which sells for £40+
Australian also has exclusive extra (50m interview of G.Romero 2008)

Just read the Australian version not 1080 and stereo do u know if this is true

I Own US, UK and Australian and they are all 1080p
(the US release was DD.5.1 and LPCM 5.1 and DD 2.0 and had 1 Audio Commentary)

The UK and Australian Have DTS-HD 5.1 and LPCM 2.0 and 2 Audio Commentary's
the Australian disc has Play Movie, Scene Selection, and Extras on Menu
but no language/track option
when you play movie it plays 2.0 LPCM but you just press audio button on BD player remote to access the DTS-HD 5.1 track

as mono plays by default, so to access DTS-HD 5.1 you must use BD player remote when playing film

Got the Argento cut today and the UK Arrow set only included that in SD and I wanted it in HD.
Paid £50 for the mediabook and I'm happy with the presentation even if its not perfect.

I know its a German release but disappointed that the documentary does not offer an English track and that the dvd's are not English friendly at all with all German extras and even the movie on dvd only has 2 German tracks.

These mediabooks are nice and are something Arrow should look at doing.

I also have the theatrical version on the US Blu but not bothered about the longer version because its messy and unfinished rather than being a genuinely longer approved version.

I see the Austrian releases list a separate "Romero Cut" and "US Theatrical" with a runtime diff of 1 minute and one coming with a 2.0 track while the other only has 5.1... I always assumed the "Romero" cut is the Theatrical. Could there be a mysterious 4th version??? Probably this is just the manufacturer's terminology.
Also anyone know if the 2.0 track is the original mono?

If it's anything like the 2.0 mix on the other BD's that are out there than it's a down mix of the 5.1 mix.

As far as I know the Anchor Bay BD is the only BD with the original mono mix.
