Default Splinter Cell 6 (off-screen images leaked)

Quote:
An image published by audio product manufacturer Blue Sky has revealed the first ever off-screen images of Splinter Cell 6, revealing that Sam Fisher will be reunited with his trademark night vision goggles.

Are these the first shots of Splinter Cell 6?The shots of the game, which is currently in development at upstart studio Ubisoft Toronto and headed up by Assassin's Creed producer Jade Raymond, show Splinter Cell 6's splash screen and an image of Sam Fisher with his NVGs strapped to his forehead. The words 'Broken Arrow' and letters 'SC6' can also be seen.

You can check out a higher resolution image of the leaked shots by clicking the thumbnail to your left.
The images of the NVGs are the biggest indication yet that Splinter Cell could be returning to its stealth-focussed roots for its next iteration.

The last Splinter Cell game, Splinter Cell: Conviction, caused controversy when it was revealed that the single-player campaign wouldn't feature Sam's iconic equipment, instead replacing the NVGs with Sonar Goggles.

The game also ditched Splinter Cell's traditional stealth approach for a more action-packed adventure, a move criticised by hardcore fans of the series.
Splinter Cell 6 was first announced by Ubisoft last year and is rumoured to be due for release next year. Platforms are still to be announced.

It would be the 6th SC gaming set to come to Playstation!!

1. Splinter Cell
2. Splinter Cell: Pandora Tommorrow
3. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
4. Double Agent (last gen version only on PS2 and xbox)
5. Double Agent (360 and PS3)
6. SPlinter Cell collection

It is indeed the 6th splinter cell game to come to the playstation console.

Just saying.

So it should be Splinter Cell 7?

Did Sony get all them? I'm preetty sure the SC games on the Xbox had the "only on xbox" stamp. I remember liking the 2nd one a lot on the xbox and would want to try out a new one

No, Im saying that SC6 could just be code for the Splinter Cell collection since it technically would be the 6th Splinter Cell game to brace a playstation console.

So technically I could be correct, but yes lets hope this is the 6th game in the actual series and that it does get a PS3 release.

It has to be SC 6, Ubisoft just requested the pics be taken down.

Expect SC 6: Broken Arrow to get the proper reveal treatment at E3.

You are 100% incorrect. The PS2 versions did come at a later time for the first one and Pandora Tommorrow, but was simultaneous for Chaos Theory and the xbox-PS2 versions of DOuble Agent.

Just to remind everyone, the xbox-PS2 version of Double Agent was a COMPLETELY different game than the PS3-360 version so I treat them as such.

I am not going to describe these differences since I go through them in the Splinter Cell HD trilogy thread on the first two pages, but trust me they were different and I consider the xbox-PS2 versions to be superior.

ah yes, the old timed exclusive wars. I do remember you or somebody stating they were different games.

Well E3 is 1 month away. Please please please be a Starhawk or Warhawk sequel with campaign.

I doubt SC6 would come to PS3. Conviction still hasn't.

SC:Conviction demo on Xbox 360 is really fun, but too different from the previous games.

Chaos Theory is the best Splinter Cell game, ever!

UbiSoft has been good with its fans, so no disappointments.

But Gamma brings up a good point. Might not even be on the PS3.

I wonder if SC: Chaos Theory in HD, is from the Xbox or PS2 version.

Xbox version was definitely the best console edition, not too sure how it is the PC edition.

It's a brand new game in the Splinter Cell franchise and isn't a codename for the collection as Ubisoft has already announced they were working on a new game since last year.

Still mad that conviction didn't come to ps3 as it's part of the main series. Splinter Cell 6 which has/had the working title of Splinter Cell: Retribution has been confirmed by Ubisoft to be coming to the ps3 as well as other consoles of course.

Here's the pic for anyone that hasn't seen it yet.

Cool. My computer was having difficulties loading those. I wonder if Conviction will finally be released now on PS3 if this game is announced at E3? I hope this and the new Rainbow Six game is announced at E3.
