$200 CAD for a BD feels a little steep, even if it is 4 discs.

Wow--this is really cool. Do you know if this is something that is solely for people who back the project? Or are they planning to release this online or to streaming services (or a larger Bluray release) after it's made?

I'm definitely interested in this....but I also don't want to pay $70+ for a blu ray release that'll be available cheaper in a year elsewhere.

Some crowdfunded BDs don’t get a retail release, like Thunderbirds, Christopher Lee, the new Aliens documentary and the Scala bonus disc.

Unfortunately, it's only for those who are backing the project.

I get your feeling; projects like these should get a wide retail release and as CelestialAgent pointed out, the Thunderbirds 50th Anniversary episodes too (of which I was also a proud backer for). If it's anything *that* is available to buy in Japan.
