Recall Announced for CJ Entertainment Haeundae Blu-ray - Blu-ray Forum

There is a recall for First Press Limited Edition of Haeundae from CJ Entertainment. The issue is with momentary pause or stoppage of the movie at ~ 1hr 35 min (after the container ship blows up). It sounds like another defect around the layer change similar to Memories of Murder.

Again, the official policy prohibits exchanges for overseas customers and you have to mail back the original disc.

CJ Entertainment needs to seriously re-examine their QA/QC procedures. Having 3 major recalls out of 12 Blu-ray titles issued so far is simply unacceptable.

Oh, crap. AGAIN?!

My copy of MoM and Haeundae both play fine. I only worry that down the line when I get another blu-ray player, they won't.

Haeudae is that movie which doesnt know what to be right? First half semi comedy, second half action/drama movie with disaster right?

And indeed 3/12 is not a ratio to be proud of!

All of my CJ titles play fine too. I also fear the same thing...

Mine also play fine, but I was still able to get a copy of MOM from June. I will probably also try and get a copy for this one also. Though I will wait a few weeks and see if K2 sends me an email about it like they did for Arahan

My PS3 had no trouble playing Memories of Murder, I then tested it in a cheaper Insignia player and it did freeze up during the interrogation scene. So the problems are YMMV depending on your player I guess.

I actually just got this last week along with my copy of A Bittersweet Life from Yesasia so I do hope they offer to mail me this fixed disc.
