I just got my copy of Gamer shipped today almost two months early!

cool provide the spec too too what in english on the disk.

wonder if they are shipping all the other upcomming blus that are going around the pirate sites.

Just watched it, very good transfer and an amazing dts hd mstr audiotrack!
There are no extras and the subs are removable (swedish, norwegian and finish subs)

Can you confirm that the transfer is indeed 1080p and not 1080i, as it has been only 1080i previously with some of the Futurefilms releases?

Could you please confirm that the DTS HD MA track is 7:1 as is the US Lionsgate release?

I thought that it was a spot on p*ss take of online gaming and online societies in general. Hell, the Society network in Gamer, is basically Sony's Home taken to the next level. The movie throws all this stuff at you, to try and maybe offend you,(online sex, etc), but if you actually take a minute to think about, it's all absolutely true.

Okay, there are broad Hollywood strokes here and there, the fat guy that eats honey, but as a satire, it hits its target. The problem with that, is that if you have absolutely NO idea about what it's spoofing, then you're going to be sitting there thinking "What the hell?!!" The reason being, is that it pretty much plays its hand straight for the movie's duration.

I watched it yesterday and thought the same thing, it takes the piss out of online gaming. I have been on the PS3 Home and apart from being boring as hell I just get the feeling its full of geeks trying to chat up women or pretending that they are woman while jerking off, this film got that spot on.

it is an Entertainment in Video disk after all

and the US disk is locked

Both PQ and AQ are really good, lots of vibrant colours in this film and loads of gunfire and explosions.

Not many extras but it has got a second disk with Inside The Game: Controlling Gamer - Gamer from concept to completion, a multi-part documentary with the cast and crew.
Cheat Codes - Dissecting scenes from Gamer via video and audio explanations from the crew.

It's not an action film. You'll be disappointed going in from that perspective.

The trailer I saw on the Final Destination blu showed a hell of alot of fight scenes and alot of explosions.. also the online side of things mentioned here sounds good.

All I was saying was it's not a movie I expect to have to really take in or get some deep message from... just fun to chill and watch.
