On May the 27th, Geoff Murphy's very highly regarded Sci Fi film from 1985 makes its world exclusive BD debut courtesy of Atlas films.
One of my very favourite Sci Fi films, this will definitely be a Day One buy.

Holy shit! how did I miss this?? The Quiet Earth is one of NZs best films ever made. Bruno Lawrence is amazing in this.

The US DVD (Anchor Bay) is a great transfer so I'm not sure which DVD he refers to. I assume the Germany release.

I can't find any comments on this Blu-ray. Bring on the links!

25th anniversary? Something must have happened with the elementary time frame continuum. Or maybe they couldn't resist the Photoshop button maker.

the movie came to germany in 1986... so for germany its 25th anniversary.

If this is indeed the case then it is incredibly disappointing, especially after the other dire transfer from Koch Media - for Scanners. Mine is on its way so we will know soon enough...

I'm anxiously awaiting a few reviews but the future doesn't look so bright....Bummer, I would import this in a hearbeat. I had a science fiction double feature movie night last year with this and Saul Bass' PHASE IV. My friends love being introduced to films they never knew existed.
