Curzon Artificial Eye are set to release Claire Denis' Un beau soleil intérieur (Let the Sunshine In) (2017) starring Juliette Binoche, on 18 June 2018.

Really pleased about this, as the film is not being released on Blu-ray in France or Germany, and the reviews have not been stellar, so the UK may be the only option, unless Criterion are interested. Still, too many of the lovely Ms. Binoche's recent films have been relegated to DVD, including one French comedy that was pulled from release by Gaumont last year.

So, I am very happy about this release.

Any more Denis is good news. I was hoping Artificial Eye would go back and upgrade Chocolat, Beau Travail and Nenette et Boni to Blu-ray at some point...

I don't believe it was available on release day from Amazon, either. Perhaps Artificial Eye had stock issues.

The critics love this but the general audience hates it. I always find it interesting when that happens.

For £7.49 I'm going to give it a go.

Really though, how could you go wrong watching Binoche for two hours?
