Blu-ray has no region 2, but has regions A, B & C. If you mean "will a region B movie play in a region A player?", the answer is yes for some and no for others. Here's one of a few sites which will answer this question on a per-title basis: http://www.allaboutbluray.co.uk/inde...y&a=1&region=B

i am waiting to get confirmation of it being region free or multi region before placing an order for that one. i liked transformers but not enough to take the risk until it is confirmed by some people i trust here.

You mean the cartoon right?

From my experience and checking out various sites the vast majority of UK releases are region free/ABC, only Fox appears to region code every release.

Isn't Transformers distributed by paramount worldwide?. If so, that u.k. blu-ray won't make it to shelves due to their being HD-DUD exclusive.

Might be wrong though

Released: 3rd Dec 2007"

Most Blu-rays are region free and an even greater portion of the discs released in Region B countries are region free.

I have ordered Transformers The Movie from Sendit and it will arrive October 1. Transformers (2007) is not released on Blu-ray this year. Paramount has the worldwide distribution rights and the item has been deleted.

I'll keep you updated about the region coding for Transformers The Movie then I get it. Good sites to look up region coding for both Region A and Region B movies are:

http://bluray.liesinc.net/
and

Region B Blu-rays shouldn't be called "Region 2" Blu-rays:

Region 2 includes Europe and Japan DVDs, but Japanese Blu-rays are Region A

(And Region 4 includes Australia and New Zealand and all the countries in America excluding Canada and the USA DVDs while Region 1 includes Canada and United States of America DVDs.

But Blu-rays from Australia and New Zealand are Region B while Blu-rays from all America are Region A)
