Default Speaker cables for surrounds

Hey guys,

Need some opinions.
I have to move my surrounds and I'm gonna need longer speaker cables, say about 35' runs. I was thinking bettercables or even canare 4S11 from Blue jeans. Any user opinions on those? Any other recommendations? Budget is about $300.

Thanks...

I had some Audioquest Flatwire cables (can't remember the model# though), and I thought they were quite good as my surround cables. Much more revealing than your standard 12/14-gauge bulk cable, and reasonably-priced to boot. Their website has a pricelist, so check them out.

Hi Jose,

I use the TimePortal version of the King/VALAB speaker cables that Kevin sells on eBay.

Below is a link to his product and he can make any length that you want as well if you need them in a bi-wire form:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

These are very fine speaker cables particularly for the price and I also use these cables for all of my other speakers. I am using speaker runs of 8, 8.5, 9, and 10m lengths with no problem. They are quite thick (about 3/4") and heavy. Because silver has escalated in price so much however and shipping of such heavy speaker cables from Taiwan you may go a little over budget.

John, BlurayFred, and Lou (Hammie) use these same cables for their main speaker cables and are really pleased with them.

Rich
